Important changes to Version 1.0 courses on OpenLearning
We’ve come a long way since our first version of OpenLearning (V1.0) was released in 2012. Thank you to all of our Educators who have been with us from our earlier days!
We launched OpenLearning V2.0 in April 2016 and have been continually improving the user experience and adding new features over the past couple of years.
Over the past year, 95% of the students who are taking courses on OpenLearning are using V2.0 and it is becoming more difficult to continue supporting the older technology in V1.0.
Therefore, from February 1st 2019, we will no longer be maintaining V1.0.
V1.0 courses will still be available, however, we will no longer be able to fix any technical issues that may arise with V1.0.
What’s more, in mid to late 2019 (specific date to be confirmed), all V1.0 courses will be automatically converted to V2.0.
Courses that are automatically converted will have comments and page content preserved, however progress, course activities, student submissions and course data will not be preserved.
