Sending email reminder to students

Hi, I've sent reminders to students to encourage them to complete the course, but the emails go to spam. Is there any way to avoid this? Can I get access to their email directly?

    Hi Isotta! I received the announcement you posted today to my mailbox. It did not go to Spam, but depending on how your students have set up their e-mail acccounts, it might go under Updates tab. (this happened in my case also). If it really goes to Spam folder, you could ask them to (again, depending on their e-mail settings) to add the announcement@openlearning.com to the list of approved contacts or create an appropriate filter.

      Hi Alenka Prezelj !Thanks for checking for me :) 

      With announcements I can see that it works (I also got an email, as I have a test account). It doesn't work when I go on the students list and select the 'email students' option. As in, it works, but the reminder goes to spam. So if I could have access to email addresses, it would be fantastic!

      Isotta Rossoni Hi Isabella, I tested that option too, and it again went to Update tab for me. Still working on the e-mails questions.

      Hi Isotta. Unfortunately, for privacy reasons, it's not possible for us to share students' e-addresses. However, as a course admin, you can ask your students to share them with you. The best way to do this would be to set up a pre-enrolment question. 

      To set up a pre-enrolment question, go to: 
      Administer students > Advanced > Questions to ask students before they enrol

      Their responses can be viewed in Administer students > Students.
