I can't choose to manually control how free certificates are issued

OpenLearning certificates get issued automatically upon completion.

If I want to make sure students pass additional criteria before before they receive a certificate, there is currently no way to do this even if I want to do a manual process. I can't turn off the automatic issuing.

(Note this is for a free OL certificate)

This may not be a bug, but it feels like one (due to the complexity of the certificate system).

To set this up, you can follow these steps:

    Step 1:

Go to Certification - Settings - and simply choose No next to Automatically issue certificate on completion of the course as in this screenshot:

    Step 2:

when you are ready to issue the certificate to a student, you can go to:

Certification - Issue certificate and click on Issue certificate next to the student's name.

    That's it! :)
