How to set up portal branding from the admin settings

You can customise the look and feel of your institution portal, to reflect your organisation's branding and style. This article will go through how to update your portal's branding in the admin settings.

Go to Institution Marketing > Landing Page

Upload your image or add your YouTube URL


Go to Institution Marketing > Landing Page

Select which blocks you would like displayed in the navigation, and the titles for each block


Go to Institution Marketing > Branding

Upload your logo (400 x 300 px). Make sure it works on the background colour you select.


You can set a maximum of 2 branding colours.

Go to Institution Marketing > Branding

Add the Hex Code of your Branding Colour and Call to Action Colour


The Your Courses section displays for students when they have enrolled in courses from your portal. This is useful when you have a number of courses in your portal, to help students quickly navigate to their courses.

Go to Institution Marketing > Landing Page

Decide whether to hide, display or move the Your Courses block, as well as set the title and blurb.


Go to Institution Marketing > Landing Page

Write the section title and blurb, and select which courses you would like displayed in the portal.


If you have a number of courses across different subjects, you might like to group your courses according to categories.

 

To set up the title and blurb:

  • Go to Institution Marketing > Landing Page

 

To set up the category thumbnails:

  • Go to Courses > Categories and add your image/s, titles and blurbs

 

To add courses to the category:


This is done inside the course itself.

  • Go to Course Setup > Advanced
  • At the Course Category section, select the name of the category you created in the portal (it will say your portal's name next to the category name as well)

The Community block displays the number of students, number of comments and range of countries.

Go to Institution Marketing > Landing Page

Decide whether to hide, display or move the Community block, as well as set the title.


 

To set up the title:

  • Go to Institution Marketing > Landing Page

 

To set up the content of the selling points:

  • Go to Institution Marketing > About (Selling Points)
  • Add your images, title and blurb

Choose which team members you display, by adding their OpenLearning profiles.

Go to Institution Marketing > Landing Page

Type in team members' OpenLearning usernames and select them from the dropdown


You can add a series of testimonials to add further credibility for your courses' quality.

Go to Institution Marketing > Landing Page

Add in the details of your testimonial/s. Image size is 400 x 400 px


To set up the title:

  • Go to Institution Marketing > Landing Page

To set up the content of the FAQs:

  • Go to Institution Marketing > FAQs

You can set up up to 3 footer lists.

Go to Institution Marketing > Footer Links

Type in the titles for your list columns.

To add links to each list, the format must be:

  • [Link Title] - square brackets, followed by;
  • (URL) - regular brackets; with no space in between.

To add social media links with icons, please note that icons are pulled from a platform called Font Awesome. You cannot upload your own.

The format for popular Font Awesome icons with social media links is:
