Customising the navigation bar
You can decide which elements are displayed in the navigation bar, what they are called and where they link to.
Step 1
Go to Institution Marketing > Landing Page.
Step 2
Select which blocks you would like displayed in the navigation, the titles for each block and which block they link to.
Settings for the community
The Community block displays the number of learner enrolments (across all classes and courses under the institution), the number of comments and the range of countries in your institution.
The profile pictures of enrolled users are only displayed when the users in the list have set up their profile images. This can sometimes result in fewer than-expected profile pictures being displayed.
The enrolment count is only updated once a day, so there may be some discrepancies in the numbers. Kindly be aware that the figures for students, comments, and countries are approximations and may not precisely represent real-time numbers. The country data is derived from the student's IP address, but it's important to note that this information might not accurately reflect their exact location due to potential VPN usage and the student's mobility over time.
Note - To check the up-to-the-minute enrollment figures for an institution, an institution administrator can export learner data from all courses by referring to the guide titled How to Access Learner Data from the Institution. It's important to highlight that an additional step is involved in pinpointing the precise number – creating a pivot table from the exported data will reveal the total count of unique learners.
Note: This community section will only appear if the number of learner enrolments in your institution has reached a minimum of 100 learners.
Step 1
Go to Institution Marketing > Landing Page.
Step 2
Set the title for this section, as well as decide whether to display the comment count and countries learners are from.
Displaying profiles in the Team section
Choose which team members to display on the portal, by adding their OpenLearning profiles.
Step 1
Go to Institution Marketing > Landing Page.
Step 2
Type in team members' OpenLearning usernames and select them from the dropdown.
