Technical Issues with Comments & Locked Modules

Having some tech issues with my courses:

With: https://www.openlearning.com/courses/coach-training-for-beginners/homepage?moduleSet (YR2019COACH1B)

My student said she cannot access any of the modules. I made sure that the date was open and that students in the class can see the modules. They do not have to complete a module to go to the next one. I don't see anything locked on  my end.  I am not sure what the issue is.

My student cannot make comments. Neither can it. I made sure that the settings allow students to comment, else they cannot make progress. I also cannot make comments, although the course is setup to allow us to do so.

    Hi Dawn,

    1) regarding your student not being able to see the modules - can you please share the username or e-address of the student in question so we can take a closer look?

     

    2) The comments have been disabled on this homepage which is why you (or your student) haven't been able to post any comments here. I have now changed the settings for you, so that should solve the problem. (Page settings > Advanced) If not, please refresh the page and/or clear the cache.

      Alenka Prezelj Thank you so much for the quick response.

       

      I went in the settings on the home page and changed that. But students are still struggling.

      Alenka Prezelj Hi Alenka. I agree. I can't see what's wrong. I went in to ensure the comments are allowed. See attachments. But, I can tell you that I don't see "where" to enter the comments. It was there before,  and I have commented to my students. I don't know if there were any updates on OL's end or what happended. But, even with the comments allowed or checked, there is not comment area for them. I hope the attachments help.

      Reid Ready Training Hi Dawn, thank you for the screenshots, very helpful. On this page, I see the issue - the option is checked, like you said, but there is no comment section. I will forward the issue to our dev team to take a look and I will update you as soon as it is resolved.

      Hi again, actually, I was able to figure out the problem! If you go to page settings > Advanced, there is "Disable commenting on this page" This was checked. I've removed the check, and the comment section is now visible.
