What can you see in the course feed?

The Course Feed contains all the activity happening across all pages in the course - including posts, comments, and replies made by students or teachers - in one easy-to-find location.

Teachers and course admins are able to see all the posts and comments.

Students can only see the posts that are public to everyone. If the ‘Cannot view until completed activity’ setting is turned on in a share widget, the course feed will not display those posts until after the student has posted.

  • Thanks. :) I think this article is super important. Honestly, I never noticed the Course feed in OL 2.0 in the true sense - as in a space where all activity is shown. I thought it was a space for random posts (LOL!) because the first thing that you see when you click on it are the icons (Thoughts, Image, Video....) and "Found something interesting? Share it with your class.."

    • Interesting point. It is a place where all activity is shown but we also wanted to see if the students would start to share things directly from the feed page which is why those sharing icons are there. I can see how it might be a bit confusing though. A work in progress :)

Also, we're trying to get more on top of documenting our new features. Thanks for writing, reviewing, and asking questions Alenka. It is very motivating for us!
