OpenLearning course pages are made up of widgets. Each widget can be identified by the following names:

Content Widgets

• accessible_video_widget: A video player with added accessibility features
• file_widget: Files for download
• random_selector_widget: Randomly selects an option
• resource_link_widget: Links to external resources/web sites (and tracks visits)
• rich_text_widget: Rich text content for the page
• subpage_index_widget: Navigable index of sub-pages for the current page
• video_widget: A simple video player
• white_space_widget: A break in the page of empty, white space

Quiz Widgets

• categorise_widget: The learner chooses in which category each label belongs
• crossword_widget: The learner solves a crossword puzzle
• fill_in_the_blanks_widget: The learner completes a cloze activity where words are missing from a passage
• match_it_widget: The learner chooses which items from column A match with items from column B
• multiple_choice_widget: The learner chooses from multiple options
• short_answer_widget: The learner enters a short answer

Post Widgets

• post_anything_widget: The learner chooses the type of media to contribute
• share_file_widget: The learner contributes an uploaded file
• share_image_widget: The learner contributes an image
• share_page_widget: The learner contributes an OpenLearning course page
• share_text_widget: The learner contributes written text

Course Community Widgets

• feed_widget: Displays a feed of recent community interactions within the course
• gallery_widget: Displays a gallery of learner contributions
• group_pages_widget: Displays a list of contributed pages (only for group spaces)

Integration Widgets

• cmi5_widget: Launch an uploaded or external CMI5 package
• html_snippet_widget: Embed HTML code
• i_frame_widget: Embed uploaded or external web resources
• scorm_widget: Launch an uploaded SCORM package
• x_api_tin_can_widget: Launch an uploaded or external XApi package
