Can't start a new course

Hi 

This may be a stupid question but i have enrolled for a course and wanted to get cracking on it but every time i try to join one of the core courses i get the following error 

 

Error joining course

The email address you are using has not been invited to this course, please check that you are using the correct email address.

 

I have verified my email and do all the required steps but still no joy.Another issue i have is that most of the core courses say that they are closed.Why is this ??

    Hi  John O'Halloran ! Sounds like the course you're trying to join is invite-only course, meaning you need to have an invitation in order to be able to join. If you have received one, it's important you use the same e-address to register at OpenLearning as the e-mail you received the invitation too.

      im trying to enrol in the small business management course which I thought was open to everyone.

      how do about getting an invite to this course

      John O'Halloran Hi John! At the bottom of the page for the course, there should be a list of admins and teachers. You can click on their profiles and send them a message asking for an invite.
