Accessing students' answers

Hi,

I included some widgets with questions for students under each module of my course. I was wondering how I can visualise students' answers.

Thanks

Hi Isotta, I took a look at your course, and I noticed that you used Short answer widget which is not the best option here. You would use this when you wanted your students to use just one word or phrase as an answer. You should use Post text widget. I did this for you on this page. I also posted a test post and a test comment, so you can see how student submissions will appear.

If you have any more questions, we're here to help!

Ok thanks Alenka. I'll have a look... where would I be able to access students' answers?

Hi Alenka, something else. I had previously locked modules so that they wouldn't  be accessible unless the previous activity was completed. I cannot remember how I did it... is there any chance you could direct me as I'd like to reverse it?

Isotta Rossoni Hi there! When a student answers the question using the post text widget, the answers will appear in the gallery widget below it.

As for how to change the pacing of your course, you can go to "Administer Students" > "Timeline"

Here you can toggle your course to "Open MOOC" to allow students access to any part of the course at any time. "Self-paced" makes the student complete everything in one module before they can progress to the next one.
