Progress not updating

Hi,

Simple site, where users read the page and click "I have read this page" to continue. Although the application remembers that a user has read the page, and the UI shows checked off and green that they have indeed previously selected that they have read the page, the progress does not update, and the prerequisite is not being met (that the page has been read) and the user cannot continue.

This was working fine yesterday as we develop our training module. Is there an issue with the backend at the moment?

Also, the dialogue box to select "I have read this page" is loading very slowly - 5s. No errors in console/no network issues (did not check inside web socket connections)

Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom, yes, we had a tech issue with our text widget earlier today which was since fixed. Unfortunately, the students would need to visit the page again to get a full completion. Could you check if you are still having issues and let us know? Thanks!

Alenka Prezelj Thanks for your prompt reply.

The progress is now updating correctly.

I do notice that when I de-select the "I understand" dialogue box that drives the progress tracking, the section still shows as complete in the Progress, however it appears now that the user did not agree to continue / agree with the training page.

Are we able to lock/disable the "I understand" dialogue box after initial selection?

I apologize I did not actually create this material and am not familiar with the designer side of the app so my terminology may be slightly off. Photo uploaded for clarity.

      Best,

      Tom

Alenka Prezelj This is the course in question

      /courses/abaconnections

Section 3 is still marked as complete though though the individual components show not completed.

      Thanks!

Tom Giles Hi Tom, sorry, I'm not sure what you mean. Which page exactly? Is it this page:

      https://www.openlearning.com/courses/abaconnections/employment_equity

Hmmm... Are you asking if we can prevent student from continuing unless they agree by clicking that they have read and agreed?

Also, could you upload the image again? It did not upload last time.

Alenka Prezelj Actually, it was section 2 - https://www.openlearning.com/courses/abaconnections/2_0_employer_s_responsibility

Image attached - it opened with a click on your platform (tested this time)

      Best,

      Tom

Tom Giles Hi Tom, thank you for the link and the image. So, whenever a student checks off they get completion, and if they uncheck later, they do not lose progress. Unfortunately, there is no way to change that. If you can tell me the outcome you're trying to achieve, perhaps I can suggest a workaround.
