The OpenLearning API makes it easier for administrators and users to have open access to their data and a point of integration for easier interoperability between education technology systems.

1. Find the latest endpoints and reference materials for the OpenLearning API v2.2 at:

2. For OpenLearning India portal instances hosted on the .in domain, please use the following API documentation:

3. To use the API, an API key is required. Instructions for generating an API key are available in this article:

Note: API key authentication should not be associated with an individual's user account, as this poses additional risks. We recommend that a separate institution admin account is created for API integrations, and it is one which is not used for ordinary user activities.

Once API keys have been generated, they should be securely encrypted and decrypted only upon establishment of the communication protocol.
