Signup Requested Passcode

My uni (SCU) was unfamiliar with what this might be, however in the emails sent to my other students this field came back as Postcode, I've entered my postcode and can now see other students from my cohort so I suspect that this isnt a passcode to tie me to a particular dataset and is just a typo for postcode. Is this correct?
