"This page isn't working" message. How do I troubleshoot?

When students click the Join Now button on the course landing page, sometimes they will see the following error message: 

This is typically the result of some course settings not being completed correctly. The following steps outline how to resolve this issue:

Make sure your promo page is available to unenrolled students

Step 1

Go to Course Setup > Advanced

 

Step 2

Go to Pre-Enrolment Visibility Options >  Display the course promotional page to students who have not yet been enrolled in the course and make sure it's enabled.

 


Check your external enrolment settings

The External Enrolment link feature should only be used in cases where you'd like students to be redirected to an external site instead of enrolling directly in the course.

Sometimes educators set the external enrolment link to be the course path, which may cause this redirect loop. If the course creator removes the added course path to the external enrolment field, then users should be able to enrol again.

Step 1

Go to Course Setup > Advanced

 

Step 2

Under Miscellaneous, scroll down to External Enrolment Link

 

Step 3

Make sure this box is EMPTY.
