Course Progress Not Saving

Hello

I’ve been working through a course on OpenLearning; but I’ve noticed that my progress isn’t saving correctly. 😑 Even after completing modules and marking them as done, when I log back in, some sections appear incomplete. This happens inconsistently, making it hard to track where I left off.😇  

I’ve tried different browsers & cleared my cache, but the issue persists. Could this be related to session timeouts, a sync delay, or something else? I’d love to know if anyone else has encountered this and found a reliable fix.😑 I checked https://help.openlearning.com/category/common-issues-Java Certification           related to this and found it quite informative.

If there’s an official guide on troubleshooting progress tracking issues, I’d appreciate a link. Any advice on ensuring my course progress updates correctly would be really helpful!😊

If the issue persists, please email us with the course details (course link or course name) at support@openlearning.com using the email that you are using to access the course so we can investigate this further. In the meantime, please also try to check if you are already using the latest version of your browser. The recommended browser to use is Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

    It sounds like you are experiencing an annoying problem with OpenLearning's progress tracking. Based on what you have described, this could either relate to session time-outs, syncing later, or a technical issue regarding how the content is currently saving your progress. You have cleared your cache and switched browsers, therefore the issue could be with how the display is updating or updating the progress data in real time.   I would suggest seeing if there are any known issues with OpenLearning (potentially they have updates or work done that could be affecting it) and also making sure that you have a smooth saavy internet connection in your sessions.  Reaching out to OpenLearning support could also allow you to clarify if other users are having similar issues and if OpenLearning has a troubleshooting guide or solution. You could also try doing a manual refresh or sign out and back in after finishing each section.

    It's certainly frustrating when progress isn't saving properly in OpenLearning. It might have something to do with session timeouts or sync lag, especially if you're toggling between different browsers or devices. Sometimes you may have incomplete progress because the platform has not completely sync the data when you mark the module as done. Since you have already cleared your cache, tried other browsers, I suggest checking the stability of your internet connection during your completion of the course, to manage any glitch in your session. If this continues, you may wish to engage OpenLearning support to have a more immediate remedy. It's also awesome that you checked out there help page! They may have troubleshooting steps for when progress isn't recording correctly. Hopefully, they will even have an official guide to remedy it, but if they don't, a support ticket may clarify what is causing it for you. Good luck!
