How to use sharing permissions to control post visibility
Introduction
A post widget and a collection widget can be used together in order to create a sharing activity.
- Post widgets allow learners to post their work to the class.
- Collection widgets display these posts in a gallery or feed so that other people in the class can see them.
These are great tools for setting up divergent learning activities where a learner can share their work with the class to gain feedback, start a discourse, or engage in other social-constructive activities.
In the following example, a learner uses the post text widget to share an idea for a project. This post is then displayed in a gallery widget so that all learners in the class can view and comment on it.
By default, when a learner makes a post, it is visible to all other learners in a class. However, there are many ways to change the share settings to create different types of learning activities. For example, private activities or activities that require learners to attempt an activity before viewing other responses.

Post widgets
When you add a post widget to a page, a gallery widget is automatically added after the post widget.
You don't have to manually set up a gallery widget unless you want to create a more advanced activity where posts from multiple widgets are displayed in a single gallery.

Feed widget
The feed shows the latest activity of people in a class.
It can highlight posts as well as comments to promote more discussion within the course community.
By default, every course has a course feed which shows activity from across all the pages in the course.

Another thing which is important is Share Setting. If post something is part of assignment, then we have to set the post visibility setting to Teachers and author only, so the submitted file/image/text will not be visible to everyone.
