It would be great to have the default ‘all students subscribed to all pages’. OR is there was ONE button for a student to click that would automatically subscribe them to every page! OR to allow the admin to choose for all students to be subscribed to all pages.   Here’s why …

I have multiple courses on OL. I have participants who are often unfamiliar with the concept of and reasons for subscribing to pages. Therefore I explain this to them and have a list of pages (with links to those pages) that I suggest they subscribe to. (Before doing this, students who finished first would often not get to see the comments of others.)

Some of my courses are comment-heavy and therefore have 20+ pages on the list of pages to subscribe to so it is an arduous task to subscribe to them all in one go. Some students ask “Where is the button to subscribe to them all”? (very good question!!)

What would be much better would be an option for admins to have all students initially subscribed to all pages. Then students could opt out of those pages they don’t want to be subscribed to.

Best of all would be to have the default ‘all students subscribed to all pages’ rather than the current default of ‘no students subscribed to any page’, and again students can opt out of those they are not interested in.
