What do I do when the next button goes to the wrong page?

Are the Next and Back buttons taking you to the incorrect pages in your course? For example, If you're on Page 1, clicking Next will take you to Page 4 instead of Page 2.

First, it is important to note that the order for the Next and Back buttons follows the arrangement of module sets you have set up in Course Setup > Content.

 

It does not follow the arrangement you've set up in Course Setup > Appearance.

 

If changing the order in Course Setup > Content doesn't resolve the issue, you can also try the steps below.

Step 1

Go to Course setup > Content

  

Step 2

Drag one of the pages, modules, or module sets (depending on your particular issue) into a different position

  

Step 3

Drag the page (or other) back into its original position.

  

This method should reset the cache and make the ordering work correctly.

    Shannen Bradford what do you suggest if the Next button seems to be skipping an entire module, even though it is correctly ordered in both the Course Setup > Appearance page and Course Setup > Content pages? Happy to provide further details if required
