How to set up discounted or free learner access for institution members

This feature enables institution members (learners who assigned as MEMBER) to get discounted or free access to courses that are otherwise paid for non-members.

Example Scenario

University of Learning wants to offer an AI for Beginners course for $100 to the public, but wants to offer it for $20 (or Free) to its enrolled students and faculty members.

When logged-in institution members view the course landing page, they will automatically see the discounted rate or free option, while general public visitors see the $100 price tag.

Things to check before setting up

Before setting up, ensure you have configured your default payment gateway settings. In OpenLearning, you can set up:

How to set this up?

Step 1

Go to Course Setup > Classes.

Step 2

Select the class for which you would like to set up payment. Click on Edit.

Step 3

Scroll down to the Institution member pricing section and tick the checkbox - Enable special pricing for institution members

Step 4

Select Paid to set your institution’s special pricing, or choose Free for free access.

Step 5

Click Save.
